Instruments of Many Kinds…

Welcome to the Modern Typewriter, a daily blog to discuss topics that can’t be answered easily, or are just some fun topics! Today is December 17th, 2007, I’m Karina, and I am here to discuss what many Middle Schools have, a Band.

“I am a woodwind player. An example of a woodwind instrument is a flute, clarinet, or a bassoon.” says one of our viewers.

“I am a brass trumpet player. I take after my uncle. He plays trumpet for a living. Many people like his music.” says another viewer.

There are a wide variety of instruments. Like for example, over in the woodwind family are the saxophones, clarinets, flutes, piccolos, and bassoons. But those are just a few. In the brass section there usually would be trumpets, French horns, trombones, and tubas. But remember, those are only a few. And there is always the Percussion section, usually in the back of the Band. They consist of drums, xylophones, bass drums, snare drums, and a glockenspiel. There are many instruments in a Band, but listed here are only a few. If you have an instrument not listed here, leave us a comment and tell us!

Remember, I’m Karina, and this is the Modern Typewriter, OUT!
