The Battle of Normandy

Welcome to the Modern Typewriter, a daily blog to discuss topics that can’t be answered easily, or are just some fun topics! Today is December 10th, 2007, I’m Royce, and I’m here to discuss the topic of the Battle of Normandy.

Otherwise known as D-Day, it happened on June 6th 1944, and ended on June 30th, 1944. The Allied Forces crossed the English Channel over to Normandy, France. They arrived on the beach, which gave no protection, basically no where to hide from the Germans. The Germans were ready to fire, so well, they did. People were dying left and right. Would you want to get out of a boat, knowing you might die? Leave a comment telling your answer!

Was there something that you know and we don’t? Leave us a comment and tell us! Until then, I’m Royce, and this is the Modern Typewriter, OUT!
